Easy to use and non-offensive to dogs

The container is packed with the finger wipes, but they are easy to pull out individually. There is a smooth side and a ribbed side - the ribbed side will provide more friction to wipe debris off the teeth. My dogs did not mind the solution on the wipes - there is no odor and obviously no taste (or at least no offensive taste) because my dogs sit for their tooth wipe pretty good. The ribbed side will NOT remove any of the calculus that exists on the teeth. As with most dental products, these will be effective in reducing buildup on the teeth and help with mouth odor; they do not take the place of a dental cleaning. Still, they are an easy tool to get into regular tooth 'brushing' for your dog(s). I had more of a problem remembering to use them daily, so they are lasting a lot longer than they should. Even so, I kept the foil on the top of the jar, and the wipes are still damp 2 months out as long as I keep the jar lid on tight. I think that they will work great to keep teeth from getting as bad as those on my dachshund (in picture) if you start when your dog is young or after a dental cleaning (when the teeth are still white); what I mean is that these wipes will prevent tartar on the teeth from developing into calculus that does not easily come off the teeth, thereby keeping your dog's teeth white! I wish they had a more abrasive option to help break up the calculus for those of us that didn't keep up with dental care when it would have made the most difference.

An easy way to improve your pup’s breath and clean their teeth!

These Dog Dental Wipes worked surprisingly well—once I was able to convince my pup to let me put my finger in his mouth, which was not his favorite thing. They fit well over my index fingers, and were comfortable on. He seemed to be okay with the taste, and they smelled fine to me. I like that they have a bit of an abrasive pattern embossed onto one side that helps you get more gunk off your pup’s teeth. They were also very straightforward to use. Despite me rigorously rubbing his teeth, they did not pull or tear, so their durability impressed me. And the amount of buildup they removed was impressive too. Overall, these are a good value for effective tooth wipes that improve your pup’s breath and “smile.”

Good addition to canine oral care

I already brush my dogs’ teeth every night with the Jasper dog toothpaste, but I got these dental wipes to use at other times, such as when my dog eats something nasty and I want to wipe their mouth out. It’s hard to say if these are really cleaning the plaque without consistent long-term use. The cloth is thick and durable, and has little rubbery nubs on one side. They smell like an unscented cosmetic, and my dogs seem to be fine with the taste. Of course they won’t clean as well as a brush, but if your dog absolutely won’t allow a brush, these seem like a good alternative. My dogs find these more comfortable than a toothbrush. I think the price reflects the quality. The downside of these is that they create more waste than a toothbrush and toothpaste.

Seem effective if the dog cooperates

The dental wipes come in a sealed container. After I was able to get the tub opened, the first thing I noticed was the positioning of the wipes. They are crammed into the tub in a semi spiral formation. The are all tip up. I would think it would be more hygienic if I wasn't gripping and pulling them out by the portion I'm about to place in my dogs mouth. The wipes are difficult to pull out. With so many crammed into this position, I had to pull fairly hard to remove one. I was afraid I would tear it before it would come out.The opening edges of the wipes did not separate as easily as I would expect. It took a moment to peel it open. The wipes were too long for my finger. The way they are stitched creates an extra flap of fabric on the sides. It definitely is going to be more difficult to clean my boys' teeth with so much extra fabric flapping at the end and sides of my finger. Now, if I could only get my boys to sit still for the brushing. They do seem to work for the quick swipes I was able to get.

Easy Way to Keep Up With Your Dog’s Teeth

The media could not be loaded.

These dog dental wipes come in a jar and are already pre-moistened, which makes them really convenient to grab and use. The wipes themselves are cloth-like and disposable, with two different textures — one side slightly more textured for a deeper clean and the other softer for gentler wiping. They’re very easy to use. You just slip one over your finger and gently rub it back and forth over your dog’s teeth. The whole process only takes a few seconds and it’s much easier than trying to brush with a toothbrush. My girl doesn’t mind them at all, which honestly is half the battle with dog dental care. After using one, you can actually see a little bit of yellow on the wipe, so it’s clear they’re doing something. But don’t expect it to remove heavy tarter build up.I think if someone started using wipes like this regularly from the puppy stage, they’d probably do a really good job helping keep plaque buildup under control between vet cleanings. It’s a simple, quick way to stay on top of your dog’s dental care.

    Solid Backup for Brushing Battles

Didn’t really know what to expect with these. Brushing both our dogs’ teeth is always a battle. What should take two minutes somehow turns into a ten-minute wrestling match. Head turning. Paw blocking. Dramatic sighs. You name it. So I figured… why not try this. The wipes had a decent amount of moisture and slid onto my finger easily. They stayed on pretty well, although I did have to hold it in place with my thumb while using it.Both sides have different textures. I started with the more textured side on our older goldendoodle, fully expecting the usual “absolutely not” reaction. Surprisingly, she just… let me do it. No fight. No twisting away. She didn’t seem bothered by the taste or smell either... just licked her lips a bit during and after.I actually ended up liking the less-textured side more. It has kind of a gritty feel that seems to clean the surface of the teeth pretty well without feeling too aggressive. Now, these are not a replacement for a toothbrush. A proper brushing is still going to be more thorough. But this is a solid alternative for those days when I’m not up for the full production. Also, this obviously only works if you trust your dog around your fingers. One small thing, they’re labeled unscented, but there is a very light smell. Not strong, just noticeable.Overall, I’d recommend these as a practical backup option. They’ve made the process way less dramatic in our house.

Easy to Use but not My Not Approved

I ordered these because they seem like a really good idea for dog dental hygiene. They are very easy to use- they have 2 sides to the wipe which fits over your finger. The wipe is also odorless which is great because so many pwt products have weird or chemical smells. My rescue dog was not very cooperative in the process- he let me try a couple times as he was curious & apparently they have a nice taste as he kept licking the wipes but he decided he was done with this weird thing I was doing & walked off. The few passes with the wipe did take off something as their was a light residue on part of the wipe. This might be a good addition for dog owners that already use dental hygiene products & want something quick.

    Much easier than a toothbrush

My dog didn't mind these nearly as much as a toothbrush. That said, the little bumps are great for daily cleaning, but maybe not as thorough as a regular toothbrush.Pro:-Super convenient. Easy travel, easy cleanup.-Nice approachable (for my dogs at least). They are way less afraid of my hands than a hard plastic object.-Much gentler.-Brushes are large and generously covered with cleaning formula. My dogs are 90 and 130 lbs and there was plenty of formula to go around.-The soft side is non irritating. The ribbed side is not scratchy.-Super easy clean up.-Dogs didn't mind the taste. They didn't love it, but they didn't run from it.Cons:-The sleeves are made for pretty big fingers. I have really long fingers and these went past my knuckles. They also slipped off a couple times because of the width. If you're someone with giant fingers, you can use this. If you're a tiny human, you may need to work on this.-Disposable, not reusable.Overall verdict: 4 stars. Less thorough than a regular bristle brush, but if it works and my dog doesn't hide from me, it's a big win.

    Common questions

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is the chicken toothpaste safe if swallowed?

Yes. Our enzymatic toothpaste is made with pet-safe, veterinarian-approved ingredients and is designed to be swallowed since dogs can't rinse and spit. There's no fluoride or foaming agents, just natural enzymes and a chicken flavor dogs love.

    How often should I brush?

For best results, brush daily. If that's not realistic for you and your pet, aim for at least 3 times a week to still see a meaningful reduction in plaque and tartar buildup over time.

What size dogs is this brush for?

Our 360° finger toothbrush comes in two sizes to fit small breeds and cats up through large dogs. Check the size guide on the product page to find the best fit for your pet's mouth.

How do I clean the brush?

Rinse the silicone bristles thoroughly with warm water after each use and let it air dry. For a deeper clean, wash it with mild soap once a week and avoid the dishwasher, since high heat can warp the silicone.
